Biofluids Lab Supervisor (Research Technician Ii)
Current- Assisted with management and leadership of UHN COVID-19 Biobank, Princess Margaret Cancer Biobank and McCain GU BioBank. - Responsible for QA and utilization of UHN Biospecimen Services BIMS platform. - Communicated and collaborated with research groups to organize the retrieval, release, and distribution of banked samples.- Advised regarding feasibility and logistics for the onboarding of new research studies to all three Biobank programs. - Authored and reviewed Standard Operating procedures as part of the SOP committee for various laboratory and data processes that are currently in use.- Member of the Biobank Quality Management System Committee, where we review and generate action plans to improve banking quality and mitigate incidences.- Lead the introduction of Automation to our day-to-day operations. Conducting QC analysis on the integration of Automation.- Processed and accessioned samples (blood, PBMC, saliva, etc) for research use.
