As a facilitator mentor, I work with girls facing various challenges such as gender-based violence, early pregnancy, early marriages, and drug abuse. Working with these girls has presented challenges such as language barriers, cultural differences, and limited resources. Communicating effectively and building trust required patience, understanding, and sometimes the assistance of translators or interpreters. Understanding the cultural differences was crucial in establishing a safe and supportive environment for them. Limited access to education, healthcare, and social services hindered the girls' progress, and it required creative problem-solving and collaboration with local organizations, government agencies, and community leaders. Despite these challenges, working with these girls has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and they have taught me valuable lessons about resilience, determination, and the power of human connection.Working with girls who have faced challenges such as gender-based violence, early pregnancy, early marriages, and drug abuse has been a rewarding experience. By building a non-judgmental relationship with her, I was able to help her access the resources she needed to overcome her addiction.Despite the challenges of language barriers, cultural differences, and limited resources, working with these girls has been a profound experience.
