I am a doctor and designer who loves using curiosity, creativity and collective experience to bring more care and connection into the world. As a doctor, I coach leaders and teams on collaborative implementation of the latest science to optimize people-centered access, quality and equity in health care. I create useful public health and clinical tools from the latest data. As a designer, I write and create using experiences, patterns and materials from nature and science. During my career in medicine, I have facilitated the development a vibrant East Bay HIV testing, linkage and provider network. I've had the great privilege of working with some of the most compassionate and dedicated people in health care to collectively implement creative solutions to improve the health of our communities. Together we made rapid access to high-quality HIV and hepatitis treatment the standard of care in the East Bay of California, achieving 93% same-day access to HIV treatment among the 5 community health centers and hospital-based HIV clinics in the HIV ACCESS network in 2023.
