Working under Design Vice President to lead the design and development of functional pet categories and to drive new innovation categories. Designs adhere to target FOB's, trend, and company initiatives. -Developing new techniques and materials for core business-Designing new innovative product collections to pitch across multi-tiered retailers-Maintaining thorough knowledge of comparative brands and material newness-Driving trend across functional and fashion accessories for multiple in-house brands-Presenting concepts and collections to senior management-Guiding intern in illustration technique and design of functional product-Working with merchandizing to prepare line-plan, target costs and sample timing-CAD work - print/pattern design, hardware design, colorations, technical illustrations-Material sourcing, reaching out to vendors for new materials, trim, and techniques-Communicating to Mechanical, Technical, and Production teams specifics of product materials, construction, sizing, targeted FOB cost, and timing based on company briefs and goals.

Developing new techniques and functional innovations for multiple categories of pet products including carriers, harnesses, shoes, collars, running systems, leashes, bowls, headwear, knit accessories, and bedding for multiple brands. Designs sold worldwide at retailers including Petco, Petbarn, Walmart, Ross, Pet Supplies Plus, and Pets at Home. -Design & Development of Mission Wild, a patent pending highly technical and functional brand-Design of in-house athletic brand Pup Crew Pro -Presenting concepts and collections to senior management-Working with merchandizing to prepare line-plan, target costs and sample timing-CAD work - print/pattern design, hardware design, colorations, technical illustrations-Trend & comparative research for upcoming seasons-Material sourcing, reaching out to vendors for new materials, trim, techniques-Communicating to Mechanical, Technical, and Production teams specifics of product materials, construction, sizing, targeted FOB cost, and timing based on Merchandizing briefs and goals.

Responsibilities include concept generation for Travelon brand bags and travel accessories as well as private label products. Projects completed with a team of designers collaborating and organizing projects to meet deadlines/price targets. Process includes color/print trend research, presentation design, print development, material sourcing/selection, concept rendering using illustrator/sketchbook pro, and tech pack development. Additional responsibilities include overseas travel for factory communication, style refinement and material sourcing.

Working with the lead handbag designer and graphic designer to establish trend direction for upcoming seasons of Icing merchandise, including comparative shopping, trend research/presentations, and technical research (including functional improvements and new materials.) Core responsibilities were working on concept development for handbags, tech accessories, small leather goods, cosmetic bags, and art canvases. Concept development included flat sketching and rendering in illustrator/photoshop as well and print production art. Role also required direct coordination with overseas vendors/factories for available materials and techniques and as well as overseeing the products from ideation to completion, making revisions for salability and cost as needed.

Design research for international markets, visual translation and brand identity for major consumer brands, brainstorming, concept generation and refinement. Process included image mapping, hand sketching, digital rendering and 3d modeling.

User research, opportunity mapping, brainstorming, concept generation and refinement for glass packaging for mass market brands. Concepts rendered in illustrator.

Trending, research, breadboard models, and concept development for Sesame Street.

Concept generation and trending for brands like Dockers, Calvin Klein, and Tony Hawk. Responsibilities included material selection, hardware development, print development, concept rendering, and tech pack development.

Medical Design internship and scholarship focusing on advanced design research methods, infographics, and blue-sky concept development. Research focused on cardiac catheterizations, angiography, and patellar tendon replacement methods.

Developing point of purchase displays for brands including Duracell, Little Debbie, Absolut, T-mobile, and Jameson. Process included hand-sketching, photoshop rendering, and 3d modeling using 3D Max with a team of Engineers and Industrial Designers.
