Currently, I'm the executive director of the Midtown Greenway Coalition. The Greenway is an alternative transportation corridor that features a 5.5 mile biking and walking trail. It is the busiest bikeway in Minnesota.I have over twenty years of community relations and nonprofit management experience, including positions with the United Way, American Heart Association, Target Corporation, and the American Red Cross. I have a MA from Hamline University in Nonprofit Management, and a BA in Communications Studies and Psychology from the University of Iowa.I'm a former board member of the Corporate Volunteerism Council – Twin Cities; a founding board member of the Minnesota Association for Volunteer Administration (MAVA); and I served on the board of HandsOn Twin Cities for seven years.As a member of the HandsOn Twin Cities board, I helped lead the organization’s re-branding effort; took a leadership role in developing goals and metrics for the strategic plan; and championed strategic initiatives that led to operating surpluses and positioned the organization as a leading affiliate of the national HandsOn Network.Specialties: Strategic planning, fund-raising, marketing, community relations, communications, nonprofit branding, volunteer management, nonprofit finance, and board governance.
