Design communicators are people who communicate design solutions the right way to the right audience at the right time. To do that, they must be fully aware of the design and the reasons for it; they work with UI designers as full-time thought partners. While the UI designer leads the creation of design solutions, the design communicator clarifies ideas, writes detailed specifications, and is able to articulate the rationale behind the team's decisions.What does the Design Communicator do:• Be responsible for multiple projects at one time• Work with the UI designers and engineers to understand how the products work and what the new designs are• Edit the existing specifications to reflect the new and/or updated designs using Word and/or HTML (Dreamweaver)• Solicit and integrate feedback from stakeholders into the specifications• Attend design review meetings and project update meetings• Coordinate with remote teams• Constantly improve the quality of the specifications• Ensure consistency across the spec library

• Research and analyse budget tracking and financial forecasting, project evaluationand monitoring, maintaining compliance with corporate and public regulations, andperforming any data analysis relevant to project tasks. Define key performanceparameters and create regular variance reports to track progress.• The focus of the activity is that of understanding the manner in which anyamendments, no matter how insignificant apparently, can impact the activity and thecourse of a project. Small adjustments (dates, prices, resources) need to be sharedacross the implied parties in due time and with exact precision in such a way that theactivity is not impacted at all. Big adjustments or changes (project dropped, securityissues, uncompliant aspects etc.) demand an even greater attention and implication,higher awareness and proactive activities.

• Contracts administration, call logging, incident logging, service desk activities havebeen the main aspects while I had the SDA position. This also included writing andconstantly improving and maintaining the technical documentation and the proceduresand creating some from zero once the Contracts Administrator position moved frommy team.• The main focus has always been placed on the understanding the importance of theaccuracy of even the smallest details and the impact of the activity across thebusiness. Basically, the Contracts Administrator, manages a local database of kits(servers, desktops, switches etc.), loaded in the system, accessed both by thecustomer and other technical teams. The smallest error (a serial number missing adigit, a letter changed in the kit description etc.) always triggered unwanted effects:loss of warranty, illegal warranty, kit replacement instead of repair etc. As such, themain responsibility of the Contracts Administrator was to make sure that kits, productsand services are recorded thoroughly and with full details, from the smallest to themost important ones in order to avoid any negative side effects.
