Founded OSB in April 2006 to market tax director outsourcing to mid-to-large middle market companies (i.e., private equity owned, etc.) with the intent of providing comprehensive tax compliance management and planning services for federal, international, and state and local jurisdictions without the overhead associated with a full-time employee and at significantly cheaper cost than using a public accounting firm.Spencer is a highly experienced and competent tax professional with a breadth of knowledge and experience, which was acquired through service to both public and private companies (of all sizes and entity classifications) in a tax consulting and compliance management capacity throughout his career. Areas of deep experience include: tax accounting method optimization; federal & multi-state refund reviews; research & development tax credit studies; multi-state tax planning; domestic and international tax structuring and restructuring;and, transfer tax and general succession planning for closely-held businesses.Prior to founding OSB, spent 10 years with both Deloitte Tax LLP & Ernst & Young LLP.Have and maintain the following certifications and designations: Certified Public Accountant - Ohio & Pennsylvania; Master of Science in Taxation - Duquesne University; BSBA - Accounting - West Virginia University; and, BSBA - Finance - West Virginia University.Specialties: Federal, multi-state, and international tax consulting.
