Sotiris’ career in the Construction industry include more than 11 years diverse path with extensive exposure on several engineering fields. In Cyprus, Sotiris has co-founded Domus Magna, a real estate company. In parallel, he co-founded BolsterUp, a dynamic startup company introducing a unified construction ecosystem! Previously, Sotiris has been employed as a Director of the Contractor’s Council which entails managing and coordinating all Council’s offices across Cyprus. His main engineering role for projects in Australia included managing and coordinating the structural design on tender submissions. From this position, Sotiris managed to provide optimized alternative solutions combining buildability, structural design, cost implications, H&S and environmental impacts. His role in Australia was pivotal, working directly with the National Manager and being the main point of contact of BESIX engineering department in Australia. From this position he was responsible to liaise with the clients, the industry partners and the different internal teams globally. Sotiris commitment to the profession extends beyond his current role. He has been a member of IstructE UK and Engineers Australia and a former member of the IstructE committee in Australia. He has also achieved the Chartership status as a Structural Engineer (MIEAust CPEng NER) in Australia.
