• Data Science Advisor (2017 – 2022): given the tremendous amount of both hard and soft data (60+ years), I extended several Data Science and Analytics workflows applied to Petroleum Engineering to reduce the Non-Productive Time and find answers in the data faster for both my colleagues and client (Data Mining, Natural Language Processing, interactive visualizations, Machine Learning for Virtual Flow Metering, among others). I kickstarted the Analytics Department of our consulting projects in Algeria. Most important use cases were: Kickstarted the Analytics section and wrote the Analytics Workflow Document for the consulting department in the region. Mentored both Junior and Senior colleagues, in the department and for the client, on Data Science and Analytics before it became a popular subject in the last 7 years. Overhauling its DB’s into a single repository to pipeline them to coupled Spotfire / R (Shiny) / Python (Dash) project. Batch Well Modeling using PETEX Openserver and R language. Batch Well logs processing for finding bypassed oil. Completed an entire Mature Field Revitalization Project in 6 months (April to October 2020) for 16 small mature assets which included:• OCR Digitalization of well reports hard copies for mining, NLP and data structuring.• Overhauling of its DB’s into a single repository pipelined to a coupled Spotfire / R / Python project that would include data reconciliation (cleaning, modeling and structuring), mapping, performance curves, well logs and forecasting on demand.• Final output: A decision matrix with wells for reactivation.• Senior Reservoir Engineer (2014 – 2022): In charge of monitoring the Hassi Messaoud Field to maintain and increase its target production by areas as requested by the managers.• Simulation Engineer (2013): Assisted at certain capacity to the simulation projects in Algiers using the NEXUS simulator.
