I hired Soua as CAHSAH's Director of Education in October, 2004. As CAHSAH's President, I had the pleasure of working with Soua through July, 2012. Soua was responsible for a budget of more than $1 million a year. She supervised three staff and directed our annual conference, approximately 12 workshops a year, six certificate programs and exams, on-line programs and teleconferences, and sales of educational resources. Soua is a hard worker who can be counted on to achieve excellent results. She is entrepreneurial and excellent at business development and negotiations. She is creative and not afraid of new challenges. Among her achievements during my tenure was to expand our certificate programs from one to six and to develop six national exams. She established the National Board for Home Care and Hospice Certification. She obtained a multi-year federal grant to develop a home care aide training curriculum for the community colleges and put the curriculum on-line. She has developed new workshops for Private Duty, Hospice and Medicare Certified agencies. She has added innovative features to our annual conference and grown its attendance. I am pleased to give Soua the highest possible recommendation."
