Phiras Soubra has over 22 years of investment banking and private equity experience in the GCC. He is an accomplished financial services professional with a well-established network of sovereign wealth funds, government entities, institutional investors, and family offices throughout the GCC. In 2022, Phiras was hired by Campbell Lutyens to establish an office and build a team in the region, he is currently serving as the Managing Director and Senior Executive Officer (SEO) of their DIFC Branch, leading their efforts in the region across; Primaries, Secondaries and GP stakes. Prior to Campbell Lutyens Phiras was Northleaf Capital Partners’ exclusive advisor for the GCC market across all their 3 strategies following a short stop as the Director of Investor Relations at Greenstone Equity Partners. Prior to that, Phiras worked on the buy side, as the Founding Partner of Tamarisk Investments, a Dubai-based private equity firm focused on lower middle-market companies in the UAE. During his tenure at Tamarisk, he built the platform and supervised its entire investment process, including origination, DD, and post acquisition portfolio company oversight.Prior to Tamarisk, Phiras led the structured equity sales desk at Deutsche Bank AG, where he oversaw distribution for various business lines, such as Global ECM, Equity Derivatives and Structured Equity Solutions . In this capacity, he originated and executed numerous high profile equity capital markets and equity financing transactions.Phiras began his career at Shuaa Capital , a leading regional investment bank, in 2003. Where he joined as part of the core team that grew the firms AUMs from USD 200MN – to USD 7BN by the team he left in 2007.
