The project is a collaboration between The Swiss data science center, LTS4 and CHUV.The success of immunotherapy, which refers to treatment methods thathelp the human immune system to fight cancer, requires an in-depth understanding ofimmunosuppressive mechanisms within the tumor microenvironment, which are related to spatialinteractions of specific cell types. Image-based methods often fail to capture such structuralinformation, whereas graphs have been used as powerful data structures that model a set ofobjects and their relationships. In this project, we aim to use cell graphs with phenomaps toinvestigate the use of graph-based machine learning methods for understanding cell-interactionfor the prediction of immunotherapy response
