Health Economist | CDC Prevention Effectiveness Fellow | Expert in Health Systems Strengthening & Economic EvaluationsAs a dedicated health economist at the CDC's Division of Global Health Protection, I bring extensive experience in empirical research and economic evaluations to inform health systems strengthening. Currently a part of the Prevention Effectiveness Fellowship, my work focuses on providing critical insights to improve global health outcomes. My portfolio includes cost evaluation projects for the WHO HEARTS program across Ethiopia, the Philippines, Nigeria, and Chile. I've also collaborated with the Field Epidemiology Training Program to analyze the costs of integrating NCD services into PEPFAR HIV clinics in Uganda. Having completed the CDC Data Science Upskilling Program, I contributed to a global NCD risk factor data modernization project.Previously, I played a pivotal role in the Utah HERO project, a large-scale initiative launched in response to the COVID-19 pandemic in Utah. My contributions included leading studies like the Vaccine Attitude Survey and analyzing and communicating rapid, critical information on disease spread, economic impacts, and vaccine uptake to stakeholders.My research interests encompass health systems strengthening, health economic evaluations, social determinants of health, and health disparities.
