Senior Accountant
CurrentIn charge of accounting functions for several anesthesia management contracts.Accounting functions related to the month-end close process:-Complete appropriate month-end journal entries for recording in proper periods.-Coordinate and review expenses for recognition in proper periods.-Perform accounts receivable valuation in determining net receivables recorded in general ledger is consistent with future projected collections.-Perform revenue recognition using trend analysis based on insurance reimbursement rates and billing data.-Examine actual results with current budgets.Financial Reporting in accordance with GAAP:-Prepare and present monthly and annual financial statements to clients.-Prepare and present to internal parties for use in operational meetings.Dashboard reporting:-Prepare dashboard reports on a monthly basis to develop and display key performance indicators measured against budgets and industry standards.-Develop written summaries and analytical analysis, such as graphs and charts, to show factors impacting results.Budgeting & Forecasts:-Develop budgets for each contract on an annual basis or in accordance with the contractual term.-Apply quantitative and qualitative implications, such as trend analysis and communication with clients and internal operations personnel, during the development of budgets and forecasts.Audit Functions:-Assist with inquiries from audit team.-Prepare audit documentation requested by audit team.-Assist with the development of templates used to provide documentation for underlying transactions.
