I joined this organization as Operations Executive (Instrumentation) and progressed to the role of Assistant Manager (Instrumentation). Presently I am overseeing wide gamut of tasks involved in instrumentation, operations &maintenance job, calibration and certification of field instruments on regular basis. I am actively involved in procurement as well as vendor development activity for spares related to instruments maintenance; looking after overall documentation like ISO, annual budgeting for departmental maintenance and project activities. Also I am accountable for maintaining Terminal Automation system (DCS &PLC), Fire &Gas Detection Automation Implementation as per statutory requirement for Cryogenic LPG Terminal, Bottling Plant Operations and Marin LPG Unloading Arm Automation System. Apart from this I am taking care of additional assignment i.e. manpower scheduling & co-ordination for Ship Tanker Duty of Executives. Projects Handled: Erection & commissioning of Haldia Oil Jetty to LPG Terminal Automation System with radio data link facility Commissioning of DCS Frontend Operating Station from Advant UNIX to ABB 800 XA System without shutdown and production loss.Completed augmentation project at IPPL, Haldia of 3 Nos. Mounded Bulleted of 1800 MT Capacity (Each) and 10T Capacity Flash Gas Compressor System including erection of instruments, termination hook-up with delta V DCS, tank farm management system, etc. Major Project : Decommissioned, repaired & maintained 16000 MT Capacities Cryogenic Above Ground Atmospheric Double Wall Butane Storage Tank including: Evacuation of Butane from Tank Purging of Nitrogen Gas, Replacement of Old Tank Skin Temperature RTD’s from Different Locations of Tank Shall with new RTD’s, Upgrading RADAR Gauging System encompassing Procurement of Radar Gauges, Multi-spot Temperature Elements, Installation, Checking, Cabling and Termination Hook-up with 8130 RTU / ABB AC 415 DCS and recommissioning of the tanks with butane.

Instrumentation calibration, Maintenance, project work.

As Assistance Engineer (Industrial Automation) I monitored project activities for automation of Motorola RT 3600 System, Energy Management System, SATAC Power Meter, Process Automation Field Instruments (PID Controller / Signal Transmitter), etc. On regular basis I reviewed plans for RTU project as per customer requirements including Energy Management System as well as Erection & Commissioning both software (SCADA) and hardware; conducted panel drawing and electrical wiring for RTU based projects.
