Telstra NGF VVC (Next Generation Fixed Voice and Video Calling) Project -IP Multimedia Subsystem(IMS)Next Generation Fixed (NGF) Voice & Video Calling (NGF-VVC) project is for Telstra’s broadband cable customers, a viable alternative way to traditional telephony and an exciting new video calling experience. It will support existing home phones via an adapter built into their Cable Broadband modem/router, and offer customers opportunities such as video calling with new SIP-based home phone devices. NGF VVC solution utilizes the IMS architecture that supports a wide range of services enabled by the flexibility of Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) along with 5450 ISC, 5420 CTS, 8950 SAM, 1310 OMC-P, 1300 XMC, 8615 eCCF, Vital QIP, 8650 SDM.•Working as a member of the IMS core support Team supporting the MGCF, MGW and 1310 Elements Management system (OMC-P) and the Billing Traffic system (BTS).•Testing involvement involves participation in Network layer Interoperability , System Integration Test phases and User Acceptance Test Phases for IMS Session Control & IMS Media- Endpoint layer.•1st Level support for Defects and Issues raised in NLIOT Phase before assigning it to Workstreams or Product owners by troubleshooting effectively tracing problems from the IMS components such as P-CSCF,I-CSCSF,S-CSCSF,MGCF,BGCF etc.•Participated in the installation and Commissioning Test for the newly deployed IMS Solution which includes the 5450 ISC (IP Session Controller), 5420 CTS (Converged Telephony Server),8650 SDM HSS (Subscriber database Management),Acme Session Border Controller and 1310 OMC-P.All the above systems are based on Solaris/Linux Platforms.•Carried out Software Upgrades for different releases for Plexus Network Elements and OMC-P as per the Project requirements. Telstra TITAN CRP 8.2Telstra’s Titan Program includes development of a solution to provide POTS-similar feature set (i.e. for voice applications) as part of the wireline Transformation Program. Capability Release 8 (CRP8) builds on previous Titan Capability Release Projects that provided the IP infrastructure and control plane elements of the wireline Transformation Program. CRP 8 is based on two major Telstra business initiatives-POTS Emulation for voice services, using a Softswitch configuration for copper and optical accesses, enhancement of the Passive Optical Network (PON) to allow for enhanced video and data services. Telstra's IP transformation program covers the IP access network & core network with series of products like 7302ISAM, (Ethernet aggregation) 7450 EAS & ECS, 7750 VSR, Cisco-CRS & ITP, (Next-generation voice network) 5020MGC, CMS1000, Plexus- LNC & LNG.• Building the test lines for the Test management and POC• Supporting the 5020 MGC-8(Plexus 9000) in configuration and troubleshooting.• Involved in test case planning, writing and execution of traffic, network element verification, and sanity, feature and regression test cases in CRP8.2.• Creating Test plans out of the requirements definitions documents as agreed with Telstra basically on the 5020 MGC-12, Plexus LNC and LNG.• Performance Related Testing for LNC and LNG• Performed the online and offline backup of the Plexus MGW,Plexus MGC and Plexview Element Management Systems. • Identified many critical defects, analyzed and supported R&D with necessary artifacts.• Involved in Defect Verification, MOP demo to Customer and was part of early deployment.• Single point of contact for Plexus LNC, LNG and OMC-P for Model, Production support and Production during NLIOT, SPVT, Early deployment and SIT testing.

Was part of the Presales Technical Support Team in charge of the Private Telecom Players such as TTSL,TATA communications aka VSNL,Reliance Communication and Idea Cellular for the evolution of IMS based Next Generation Networks.Was one of the critical team members to prepare and execute efficiently the PoC to meet Solution blueprint, dynamic requirements and assess test results for Acceptance testing.I had worked in two of the major NGN projects for the TATA accounts.a) ZTE VSNL NGN Project:The Project is a typical deployment and Integration of class 4 and class 5 NLD/ILD NGN applications which caters to the migration of traditional PSTN traffic to Next Generation Networks (NGN).This Project has typical deployment and testing of Softswitches, Media Gateways and Signalling Gateways and various application of services on Application Servers.b) TTSL Class 4 and Class 5 IMS based NGN RFP:Was part of the Technical Team responding to the biggest ever NGN Network Request for Proposal in india including around 25 Softswitches and 60 odd Media Gateways.

As a project engineer i was outsourced to Lucent Technologies Hindustan Pvt Ltd in Mumbai to work in Reliance CDMA WLL and Reliance NLD/ILD NGN Projects.a) Reliance NLD/ILD NGN: This Project was purely for the migration of the Legacy TDM based Networks to Packet Switched Next Generation Networks over VOIP on their Integrated Landline and Transit Switches for National Long Distance (NLD) and ILD (International Long Distance) using Alcatel Lucent NGN Solution.b) Reliance CDMA WLL : This Project is about Enhancement, Capacity Growth and Maintenance of Lucent Modular Cell 3.0 and 4.0 Base Transceiver Stations in the Reliance CDMA Network.
