BurnDown Studios is a small production company located in Germantown section of Philadelphia. The studio is great for bands to get an excellent recording at a price the independent musician can afford. Owned by Barbara Adams and David McHale, the two bring years of experience in both audio and performance to help young bands get the best out of the recording process. With the ability to be portable, BurnDown is perfect for the band who wants to record at their show, home, or rehearsal space. We are also available for rehearsal space for bands that are interested in a comfortable space to rehearse for their upcoming show. Past clients have included, Grape Street Philadelphia, Fooling April, Dave Quicks Band, BurnDown All-Stars, Stuntditch, B-Side Prophets, Eric Robeson, Curt Chambers, Vivian Green, and more.

Working with various production companies, venues, and artists, I bring an extensive knowledge of audio and audio systems delivering the best possible sound to every show I work. Head sound engineer and production manager for Philadelphia's newest listening room. Located in above Sona Pub and Kitchen in the Manayunk section of Philadelphia, The Locks at Sona is a partnership between Tin Angel and Point Entertainment. This 110 capacity room offers singer/songwriters and small bands an excellent experience performing to an intimate crowd.

Taking my years of experience into the classroom has been the best challenge of my life so far. I started teaching sound reinforcement for Drexel University's Arts and Entertainment Enterprises as part of their Music Industry Degree Program. The class allows students to learn everything from signal flow, to how to set up a system, how to work with artists, how to mix for various rooms and environments, and how to represent yourself in this changing industry. With lecture classes and hands on training in one of Philadelphia's premier music venues, World Cafe Live, the student gets a well rounded education in live sound principles and techniques. In 2011 I assisted with the selection of a PA system for the Drexel venue, Flux, and hope to use the new venue to teach in starting in 2012.

Joining a wonderful team of engineers and production staff, I started lending my skills to World Cafe fall 2010. The room is a great room to mix with an excellent acoustic environment and well maintained gear. Midas Legend, Clair Brothers Line Array and monitors, your typical outboard gear.

Engineer and System Tech for one of Philadelphia's longest running and best listening rooms. Running a Midas Venice console into JBL FOH speakers and a mix of monitor speakers, the room is one of the best places to see up and coming singer songwriters display their talents. The room holds 115 people seated. Some current clients include, Citizen Cope, Francis Dunnery, Garrison Star, Laura Shay Band, Viv Peyrat, Matt Duke, Hoots and Hellmouth, Raul Malo, Steve Forbert, and more.

After helping Mike Lighkep put in the system at the Grape, I stayed on as monitor engineer for many shows. After a few months, I had found a new home. I took the job as production manager in 2005. My job included advancing shows with both local and national bands where most nights we hosted 7 bands a night on 2 stages, hiring and training all sound staff, and teaching new interns the basics in audio production. I also maintained the gear for both live rooms which included Allen and Heath consoles, QSC amps, EAW line array, and a full backline of Tama and Ibanez gear.

I began working for Electric Factory through Frank Simon Productions as a monitor engineer. When EFC purchased the system from Frank, I stayed on as an EFC employee. The job included audio engineering for all shows at Electric Factory, as well as shows where the system was taken out for performances at Tower Theater, Festival Pier, and E Center in Camden NJ. I managed the stage, patching, and monitor gear. Clair Brothers system
