After 7 years in the innovations department or Air New Zealand, I joined the team at Affinity ES as Head of Department UI UX / Lead UI developer in early 2013.My principal roles have been Head of Department, Product Ownership / Program Management, Architecture, Design (UI UX) while focusing on Client Side Development (and generally 'lets make some cool stuff'​ guy).The projects I have most enjoyed have been:AffinityUI 1.x to 4.x - 1.x was a doc modal reactive UI framework / bootstrap that consumed JSON business objects directly from SOA. 2.x was a 2 way reactive framework similar to React, consuming restful services. 4.x is a complete rewrite, offering many components and toolsets, extending Vue2. Our goal is to maintain modern UI for the Affinity suite of HR and Payroll software; developing and extending a single-source framework via CDN, introducing no further cost to backend teams, while supporting all browsers and mobile platforms.Air New Zealand Grabaseat - Working one-on-one with an outstanding product owner, I designed and developed the very first Grabaseat. Over the next few years I delivered the 2nd and later joined a team to develop the 4th versions, much of which is still available today.Air New Zealand Holiday store installation - I helped conceptualise, build and implement a touch based installation for the down-town Auckland Holidays store. This included a 70" shop window touch display, interactive competitions, etc.Air New Zealand IFE concept and design - I spent many months with a small team designing and prototyping; from UI animations, to in-seat ordering, to screen sharing with other seats. We were responsible for many industry firsts.There are many more, but this is just a summary after all ...Specialities: Client Side Dev, UI/UX design, HTML(5), CSS(3) / LESS, JavaScript (ES5/ES6) / JSX, TypeScript, JavaScript / C# .NET, MVC, WebApi, WPF. When developing front end, I prefer Native (ES6) Javascript, Vue2, or React. Backend I prefer C# MVC / WebApi (+ Swagger).
