Serve as the Member Services Manager for the Minuteman Library Network, a consortium of 41 public and academic libraries using Innovative Interfaces as the integrated library system (ILS).• Responsible for the implementation and support of Minuteman Library Network’s services• Assume responsibility of the Executive Director in the absence of the Director• Supervise the 8-member professional staff of the Member Services Department• Provide technical support and training to member libraries• Serve on the Management Team regarding strategic planning for the organization• Assess current services and recommend changes for improvement• Collaborate with Systems Department in overseeing all ILS and resource sharing applications• Partner with the Systems Department in testing and evaluating new iterations of the ILS applications, as well as new software and services relevant to the Network• Supervise the production, collection and dissemination of member library reports and statistics• Oversee the building, quality control and ongoing maintenance of the Network’s bibliographic database including print, non-print, digital and non-traditional library materials • Liaise between software vendors, the Network and libraries and advocate for services • Actively participate in committees to foster communication between libraries and the Network in order to improve service, adjust policies, develop initiatives or identify new services and technologies

Serve as the director of data and technology for the Dorcas International Institute of Rhode Island.• Design and create metrics appropriate to the agencies needs, in support of data collection, analysis and reporting• Correlate data among various agency departments• Perform daily monitoring: verify the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, review system logs, and verify completion of scheduled jobs such as backups and bibliographic/item synchronization• Identify database requirements by analyzing department applications and dialog with department heads and users• Maintain database performance, including implementation of new releases, evaluating optimum values for database parameters and completing maintenance requirements• Manage and maintain contracts with various vendors• Train and educate staff on a variety of agency specific software• Provide end-user IT support

Serve as Systems Administrator for HELIN (Higher Education Library Information Network) Consortium (26 academic and special library sites) using Innovative Interfaces as the integrated library system (ILS) in a Client/Server environment. Serve as Systems Administrator for collaborative state-wide catalog using Innovative’s INN-Reach system to integrate 70 public libraries. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:• Provide end-user support of ILS, including resolving and/or facilitating the resolution of all workflow/module-based operational issues• Primary contact and conduit migrating institutions into and out of HELIN• Serve as primary contact between member libraries, the ILS and database vendors to open trouble-tickets as needed, and following through with status updates• Collaborate with IT Departments of member institutions to ensure a stable network environment for ILS end-users• Direct and facilitate client software integration with all member libraries within HELIN• Create and maintain documentation pertaining to Sierra and Encore; conduct training sessions as needed• Maintain SSL certificates for current domain names associated with HELIN• Administer Circulation Parameters including Loan Rule modifications and additions, and coordinate use of codes and controls involved with each site (e.g. PTYPES, ITYPES)• Maintain Multiple-IP WAM table associated with the proxy server, providing remote end-user access to subscription databases • Maintain patron database currency by coordinating and executing patron data uploads from member institutions into the HELIN database• Retrieve and process MARCIVE records for member libraries• Perform daily monitoring: verify the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, review system logs, and verify completion of scheduled jobs such as backups and bibliographic/item synchronization

Maintained bibliographic and item MARC records in the HELIN database. Supervised two library technician staff. Assisted in trouble-shooting local issues.

Organized and prepared students for concerts, instructed students, grades 4–8, on a variety of musical instruments. Managed all aspects of musical theatre productions. Director of Oyster River High School Jazz Band. Supervised volunteer staff for all activities.

Instructed general music classes, grades 6-8, and prepared students for choral concerts. Produced Drama Club performances.

Taught BASIC and LOGO computer languages and the rudiments of personal computers to 250 students, grades 6-8, using the Apple IIe. Founded the DJH Computer Club.
