About Sovathana Hor

Dr. Sovathana is currently Deputy Director General of the Insurance Regulator of Cambodia (IRC) of the Non-Bank Financial Services Authority (NBFSA) in charge of Licensing and Legal Affairs Department as well as Research, Training and Cooperation Department. In addition to her current position, she is also member of Governance Division of the Supreme National Economic Council (SNEC) of Cambodia since 2009 and member of the Working Group on Promoting Gender Equality of the Ministry of Economy and Finance as well as Head of Women Association of the IRC.Before appointed to her current position in June 2021, Dr. Sovathana previously served as Deputy Director of the Insurance and Pension Department of the Financial Industry General Department of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) of Cambodia in charge of Market Development Division and Legal and Mediation Division for more than 7 years.
