The aim of Greenfield project was to re-building/re-writing of Schwab.com into Microsoft .Net/C# with a complete redesign and development effort along with encompassing new business requirements to be provided as they are been developed. The Schwab Account summary page will provide an integrated view of all associations a customer has with Charles Schwab. Automatic Investment Planning helps the customers to set up a long term financial investing in a regular and effective manner. View Edit Beneficiary application is to automate the process of adding, deleting beneficiaries or modify the beneficiary information for IRA accounts. Results:Created Application Functional Test Repository by walking through existing applications code those are based on C/C++, Java to extract business rules using Rational Requisite Pro and developed a detailed business and test scenarios using Rational Rose and Rational Functional Manager.Enabled JAD session with Schwab Subject Matter Experts capturing additional business requirements, while building end to end test plan and test cases, optimizing QTP scripts for regression testing with various data sources and data types. Domestic Web Trading (DWT) is a leading online web trading project for Charles Schwab with core functionality to provide and execute trade request in real-time. Since 99% availability of this application is core to Schwab business therefore ensure adequate testing before new release or bug fixing into production is critical, hence adopted and implemented SilkTest Automation for regression testing. Results:• Created test cases and scripts for the complex change request while executing them for each release verification cycle, this optimized test script creation minimized defect injection ratio by 5%.• Preparing Sampling Test Data based on the Specification and Requirement documents provided for the change requests (CR)/Defect testing.• Weekly two builds were planned for delivery and I was responsible to perform Regression Automation testing and Sanity testing on these builds, acted as a backup Test Lead to manage team and always was successful and delivered on time.• Execution of the automated RFT scripts on builds and RCA (Root Cause Analysis) of failed cases.• Responsible for effective communication between the Project team and the Schwab. The DCAF combines the versatility of occasionally connected field applications with the power of enterprise database architecture, back office tools, and public facing web applications. The central database is DB2 Server. Data is accessed through a common data access layer written in Java, and then exposed as an API via reusable business objects. Custom user interfaces and applications can be built on this business layer using Java/J2EE Web platforms. Users can work with sophisticated data-driven applications while offline; when an internet connection becomes available, the data can be seamlessly synchronized with the central database via SQL Server's intrinsic Merge Replication capabilities.
