Served as WSP USA's employment and ethics counsel handling all aspects of in-house employment and ethics law for WSP USA's roughly 9,000 U.S. employees.

Under the umbrella of the Global Risk & Ethics Department, I headed the US Compliance and Ethics Program. In this role, I oversaw a variety of compliance and ethics efforts including: our compliance and ethics training program, compliance and ethics policies, compliance and ethics investigations, gifts and conflicts of interest registries, third party due diligence, the organization's small business program, and various regulatory reporting requirements, certifications and disclosures. Regarding matters of compliance and ethics, I routinely interfaced with key members of the organization including the Global Chief Risk and Ethics Officer, (and other regional heads of the organization's Global Risk, Ethics, and Compliance Team), US members of the C-Suite, and the US Executive Leadership Team.

The organization's Small Business Program grew under my Small Business Liaison Officer ("SBLO") oversight, which included the launch of the organization's Subconsultant/Supplier Diversity Page in October 2014. I worked closely with our project teams to draft small business subcontracting plans, file subcontract reports in the federal eSRS system, and engaged in outreach efforts to increase the company's pool of prequalified small business concerns. During this time, I was also responsible for the Compliance Department's U.S. based third party due diligence procedures. In furtherance of this, I maintained the company's prequalification system and conducted desktop due diligence. I worked closely with IT to maintain, design, redesign, and update a variety of systems and websites including our prequalification system, source selection tools, and Subconsultant/Supplier diversity page.

As a construction law and employer's side employment and labor law attorney at this boutique national practice, I became an adept litigation attorney. On the construction law side of my practice, I handled all aspects of construction law cases including: mechanics' lien and payment bond claims, contract/subcontract drafting/review; delay claims, payment disputes, breaches of contract, defective work disputes, Home Improvement Contracts, joint check agreements, OSHA citations, and more. On the employment/labor law side of my practice, I handled matters such as: wage and hour claims, harassment/discrimination claims; non-compete issues, the preparation of affimative action plans (AAPs), OFCCP compliance issues, VETS 100 and 100A reports, and separation agreements. A small portion of my practice also included simple estate work, real estate matters, and business matters, such as estate administration, will preparation, business formations (Non-Profits, Corporations, LLCs), buy/sell agreements, and deed transfers.

As a member of the litigation department, I handled a variety of litigation related matters such as: personal injury claims, real estate disputes, school/education law related matters, construction law matters, eminent domain issues, and a variety of employment/labor law matters.

Transitioned my litigation skills into the construction law arena while working for this premier boutique construction law firm. Handled all aspects of construction law, including representing owners, contractors, and subcontractors.

Cut my legal teeth working for this nationally recognized (now disbanded) plaintiffs' class action firm where my practice concentrated on class actions, antitrust, mass torts, and catastrophic personal injury.
