Hi everyone! My name is Soyoung Cho, and I am a senior advertising major and business minor at The University of Texas at Austin! I am super excited to graduate in May of 2025 and to further involve myself in the advertising and marketing industry. Throughout my academic journey here at The University of Texas at Austin, I have developed a curiosity and solid foundation in media planning and online advertising strategies. As evidenced by my coursework, I took classes specifically focused on media planning for communication campaigns, where I worked on year-long projects that allowed me to gain valuable insights into the unique challenges of promoting and planning for local and global brands. My proactive approach to learning led me to successfully complete projects such as creating an advertising campaign for Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a non-profit located in Kenya, as well as for the expansion of Round Rock Honey, a brand local to Austin, Texas. Moreover, this past summer, I was given the opportunity to study at Yonsei University in South Korea, where I was able to heighten my skills in Adobe, Canva, and Microsoft services.In addition to my academic achievements, I have honed my teamwork, time management, and communication skills through various projects. Currently, in my Integrated Communication Campaign class, our agency has been given the opportunity to work hand in hand with Amazon Ads. Specifically, as part of the media and analytics team, we have been using resources like Meltwater to create solution-oriented work with data-driven insights that may elevate the company's results. Coupled with my learned analytical skills, these experiences have allowed me to be confident in my ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.During my free time, I greatly enjoy hanging out with friends, being outdoors, cooking, baking, crocheting, bullet journaling, and watching movies! Living in Austin the past 4 years has been such journey of self growth, and I can't wait to see where the future takes me!
