The company is a leader in the agricultural sector of South Africa. Our team falls under the technical services division and is responsible for assisting production with any engineering needs. We are urged to pursue any projects that may lead to increased profits or decreased expenditure. I work closely with the metal fabrication workshop and assist with project flow and prioritization, engineering insights, and day-to-day operations. Some of my tasks include:• Conveyance systems- and packhouse machinery design• Hydraulic machinery design• Structural design• CAD/CAM modelling • Manufacturing/assembly drawings• BOMs and quotation• System standardization• Monitoring systems, data acquisition, and automation• Water distribution and piping design• Energy management and planning• Research and development

Eighteen weeks (six weeks every December holiday) of training and company exposure that included a few minor engineering projects.
