Jose-Miguel is a Chilean Space Architect and Systems Engineer with over 15 years of experience designing earth & space habitats, crew systems, and mission-critical interfaces. Based in Houston, he currently works as a Design Engineer IV at Axiom Space, where he has led the development of NASA-funded habitat subsystems and crew interfaces for the International Space Station, specializing in concept architecture, systems engineering, parametric & CAD integration, and process optimization.Previously, at Perkins Eastman, Jose-Miguel co-founded and led the Data Unit, applying BIM data mining to enhance project efficiency and optimize large-scale architectural designs. His participation in NASA’s 3D Printed Mars Habitat Challenge highlighted his expertise in ISRU and autonomous building technologies.Currently pursuing a Master's in Aerospace Engineering at Georgia Tech, Jose-Miguel is also actively engaged in the Latin American space community, mentoring and speaking at events such as the Congreso Espacial Centroamericano. His work continues to drive innovation in sustainable space exploration.
