After a long trip to Oceania, I started working for a confectionary company known as LIA, which at the moment was in the process of being taken over by Arcor, a larger company of the same nature. I initially assisted three departments (Sales, Accounting and Foreign Trade) but a few months later, considering I could speak several languages, I was trained and absorbed by the Foreign Trade dept. There I offered support to the Area Manager, Mr.Hugo Medaglia, in organizing our team's participation in international fairs and business round tables, as well as following up with contacts made at these events to eventually establish a commercial relationship .
