George Spanoudakis is the founder of the Sphynx Group. The group includes SPHYNX HELLAS AE in Greece, SPHYNX TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS AG in Switzerland and SPHYNX ANALYTICS LIMITED in Cyprus. He is also the chairman of the Management Boards of all the three companies and the Managing Director of SPHYNX TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS AG.Sphynx develops and offers innovative solutions and services providing clients with security operation centres, managed security, cyber threat intelligence, incident response, training and certification. These solutions and services are powered by products developed by Sphynx, including the Sphynx Security and Privacy Assurance Suite and the SPHYNX Cyber Range platform. These products incorporate novel event processing, vulnerabilities detection, cyber threat intelligence, incident response and systems emulation capabilities which are based on machine learning, auto ML and generative AI. Sphynx has a strong R&D team that helps maintaining the cutting edge features and technology of its products.Before undertaking the management of Sphynx in 2022, George was full time professor at City, University of London (2006 to 2024) specialising in software systems security. He had also undertaken various management positions in academic institutions, including the positions of Associate Dean at City, University of London (2010-2014), Head of Department at City, University of London (2003-2007) and Member of the Council of the University of Piraeous (2013-2017).George has published extensively (see https://scholar.google.gr/citations?user=XQSvrAwAAAAJ&hl=en&oi=ao) and served on the programme committees of more than 200 international conferences and workshops.
