o Generated an early data package for Cue Biopharma Immuno-STATs (ISTs) that was used to obtain $16M in private follow-on financing within the first year of the company, originally financed by $10M in seed funding in August 2015. o Project leader in generating data used to select the lead drug candidate for clinical development (CUE-101).o Generated in vivo and in vitro protocols that were fundamental in the IND filing for CUE-101.o Presented scientific data and research timelines regularly to the executive level and scientific advisory board members.o Directly managed four scientists and reported timelines and progress to co-founders. o Managed CRO partnership with CRADL for vivarium operations and experiment planning and execution.o Assessed equipment needs and purchased capital expenditures of up to $300K within budget restrictions.

o Pioneered a new research focus for the Lauvau lab by establishing in vivo models of severe malaria to study mechanisms of the innate immune response which lead to severe disease. o Collaborated with an infectious disease MD to receive blood samples from Malawi to translate hypotheses generated from in vivo findings to severe malaria patients. o Discovered that type I IFN produced during severe malaria infection has profound effects on innate cell activation and disease outcome and pinpointed the signaling pathways and cellular source of type I IFN and the novel mechanisms of how type I IFN-producing cells become fully activated in the bone marrow niche. Research resulted in one 1st author publication and a NIH-funded training grant. o Presented research at three international conferences.o Managed a large mouse colony with complex breeding schemes and phenotyping/genotyping protocols.o Mentored/trained a high school intern culminating in a summer capstone project and poster presentation.

o Assisted in research that sought to understand the mechanisms of iron overload in patients who undergo allogeneic bone marrow transplantation. Found that iron absorption is dysregulated in the intestine of NOD/SCID mice transplanted with allogeneic T cells and that proteins involved in iron homeostasis were similarly dysregulated. Treatment with the iron chelator drug, ExJade, mediated the effects of transplantation-induced iron overload.o Responsible for maintenance of mouse colony and execution of in vivo experiments.o General laboratory manager, including the management of a large patient sample repository.
