I execute on a vision - the vision of an Information Technology group that exists to promote effective change in an organization aligned with the organization’s strategy and objectives. I have extensive experience building and developing IT teams into efficient business focused engines of operational effectiveness. For me an IT group does not exist to tell you how something cannot be done, rather to provide the tools that enable a business to succeed; surpassing competition. IT should not be the hurdle in the way of advancement, but one of the driving forces pushing a company to greatness. Maintaining compliance and protecting assets are very important, and must be incorporated into any effective change in an organization. Too often these key components are used to shut down change, rather than be incorporated into a progressive project plan. I see an effective IT team as having the ability and drive to marry security and compliance with the organization’s strategy and goals to produce an innovative solution that meets the needs of the company, and creates change in the organization.My skills have been developed around this central vision from systems development and project management to leadership and mentoring. I strive to help a business leverage the most they can out of their IT group.Specialties: BIOTECH/PHARMACEUTICALS: I have developed an in depth understanding of the biotech research and manufacturing verticals; including: FDA regulations for cGxP, systems validation, and the unique computing needs of research organizationsREGULATORY: I have developed strong skills in ISO 9001, 20001, 27000. I have also achieved CFR 21 Part 11 compliance for manufacturing systems and I understand the needs of cGxP environments.
