Worked on the integration of wavefront sensing and polarimetry into a broadband starlight suppressing device to directly image extrasolar planets. This involved:- Developing and working with state-of-the-art diffraction limited instrumentation at high altitude- Lab work- 4 month internship in the USA- Large international consortia- Supervising student.

Serving as member on various committees within the observatory. For example, as chairman of the social committee I was responsible for the organisation of events for ~200 people.

Teaching the working class of the first-year bachelor course “Planetenstelsels”. Consists of coming up with exercises, grading homework and managing the other teaching assistants of the course.

Editing and writing articles and columns, scouting for new content.

Organising the Network of Young Researchers in Instrumentation for Astronomy (NYRIA) workshops. Worked on:- Advertisement - Communication with external parties and attendees - The programme - Tracking and maintaining pace during the organising efforts- Co-wrote grants that secured 10k€ of funding
