Séamus focuses on law & policy. He provides effective and efficient counsel to Indiana's leaders, advising clients on day-to-day issues and navigating clients through the Statehouse. While often providing general counsel, he tailors his services to best address client needs, providing specialized services and working with in-house, local, and general counsel to as conflict counsel and for internal investigations.Séamus began his law practice in 2006. He has been a frequent presenter, writer, and contributor for many organizations. He is the founder and was the first chairman of the Indiana Council of School Attorneys (ICOSA). He has served on the board of the national Council of School Attorneys (COSA) and continues to serve on COSA’s amicus committee. He was appointed to the national School District Attorney Committee (SDAC) to help shape federal education policy and provide legal resources for education leaders. In 2011, the Indianapolis Star featured Séamus as a "Rising Star" for his work, and the Indianapolis Business Journal's Indiana Lawyer identified Séamus as an "Up & Coming Lawyer" for Indiana. From 2012-2021, he was recognized as a "Rising Star" by the Super Lawyers publication. He is active in the Indiana Bar Foundation (IBF) and the Indiana State Bar Association. He has served on the governing boards for both organizations. He is the Chairman for the State Bar's House of Delegates. He advised the Indiana Civic Education Task Force and received the IBF’s William G. Baker recognition for outstanding dedication to citizenship education. In addition, he helped start the State Bar’s Leadership Development Academy (LDA). Séamus attended the University of New Hampshire School of Law, concurrently earning a law degree and master’s in education law. He is an alumnus of Wabash College. He is on the board of the Wabash Club of Indianapolis and is the founder of Club's Law Committee. While at Wabash, he became a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity and Sphinx Club through which he reinstalled the “Chapel Talk” speaker series. Séamus is on the board of OneZone Chamber of Commerce and is chair of OneZone’s state advocacy committee and ZonePAC. Prior to joining KGR as a partner, Séamus practiced at Church, Church, Hittle & Antrim. He has also served on the board for Janus Developmental Services.Séamus was born and raised in Indianapolis with his eight siblings. His wife, Erin, is an educator for students with special needs and is a leader in teaching reading. He has three daughters (Lena, Nellie & Vera).This is advertising material.
