I managed the frontend for the Checks team (stack: Angular TypeScript, RxJS, and Material UI) in addition to owning full stack feature work (Java, Kotlin, Spanner, SQL, C++). Checks helps developers with privacy compliance and AI safety.Contract via ERG, Inc.

Y Combinator (W20) - Series A• Became the local GraphQL expert and helped TrueNorth adopt and migrate to GraphQL, leveraging Graphene Django and Apollo Client. I wrote the first production endpoints as well as a style guide to standardize GraphQL usage and API design across the team.• Led multiple projects that improved TrueNorth's payments system which was used by the operations team to pay drivers each week and manage outstanding debt.• Created a barebones feature toggle framework so that feature work could be integrated into the main branch and released with a simple flag flip.

• Led front-end architecture of next-gen CRM to support Googleʼs ads business. My team also received the product excellence award of the year for being the first major app within the org to launch on their new preferred tech stack with a GraphQL-like API.• Influenced a team of 15+ front-end engineers to adopt unidirectional data-flow and reactive programming with async data streams to improve code readability and reusability.• Set up the CRM's frontend servers and established integrating testing patterns and infrastructure.• Pushed back on tech debt and helped establish a strong culture of unit testing on my team.• Coordinated with UX across multiple teams to build an app bar UI component with a11y support for the internal tools org to provide a unified brand experience across >10 apps running on Angular Dart and Angular TypeScript stacks.

Y Combinator (W12) - Series B• Spearheaded engineering effort for major frontend refactor to convert 100% of the codebase to ReactJS, Redux, and CSS Modules, substantially improving modularity and increasing productivity.• Led development of microservice architecture using Docker, CloudFormation, and EC2 Container Service to increase scalability, and improve backend infrastructure reproducibility and efficiency.• Constructed HTTP request module using JavaScript and RxJS with support for automatic retries, polling, and network connectivity pausing which reduced backend server load up to 50%.• Greatly improved performance of PostGIS query by > 99% (from O(n) to O(log n)) utilizing indexing and R-trees.• Built ReactJS component for date and time picking with advanced keyboard and internationalization support.
