Nick graduated from university with a BSc Honors degree in Mechanical Sciences. Since graduation, for more than three decades Nick has acted for international clients on some of the largest multidisciplinary projects in the world. With his insightful master planning and project controls knowledge he has established an excellent reputation as one of the forefront leaders in master planning, controls, Monte Carlo risk modeling and earned value spanning across all engineering and construction disciplines. Nick has extensive experience across the process, civil and infrastructure, mining, rail, marine works, tunneling, property and entertainment sectors and has advised government agencies and private corporations in relation to some of the most high profile quantitative risk issues in recent years, including in connection with the WKT XRL terminus and approach tunnels, casinos in Macao and Hong Kong’s MTR and other major capital projects. Whilst with Evans & Peck Nick was responsible for supporting the various commissions for the company from the master planning and quantitative risk assessment aspects. He has spent more than 1 1/2 years seconded to a major pit-to-port rail line in Colombia, iron ore project in Brazil and iron ore Roy hill project in Perth where his expertise has resulted in major improvements in project controls and the resultant significant commercial gains for the client. Between leaving Leighton Asia in 2009, where he was Group Manager for Planning and Controls, and joining E&P, Nick was Discipline Team Leader (Construction Planning) with AECOM on the MTR’s express rail link terminus and approach tunnels. Nick was also lead auditor in planning and controls matters, as well as guest lecturer on the Chinese University of Hong Kong and programming expert witness in arbitration proceedings.Nick returned to independent consulting with SPCS Limited, where he is the proprietor and sole director, after leaving Advisian (formerly named Evans & Peck) in Feb 2015.Since Q1 2015 Nick has been engaged as consultant on major capital projects in Hong Kong, as Head of Planning and Controls.
