As Technical Director I lead a 100 million dollar organization, research and development, within Raytheon NCS. In this role I pursued several research initiatives in the command and control, network security and secure information sharing fields, aligning current capabilities with customers needs.* Architected a massive data sharing system to allow for Network Operation data to be collated and consumed across the DoD.* Developed information sharing technology based on XMPP, that allowed for cross COI and potentially cross domain information sharing, in near real time communication, leveraging COTS to reduce cost and deployment time.* Revamped healthcare integration system allowing the organization to pursue new states, with a fast flexible system.

Lead a small team of developers through multiple successful releases of advanced visualization software. Re-imagining the platform utilizing Flex, GWT and Ext to improve user experience, flexibility and performance. Reworked the back end to be testable, SOA friendly (JSR311/REST) and secure ( Spring Security w/AOP). Reducing the total lines of code and average request/response time by 67% and 80% respectively.

* Extended the most advanced medical search engine of its day.* Lead a small team that implemented a Personal Health Records system, integrating Hospitals, Doctors and Insurers.

* Managed small team implementing a new front end featuring improved user experience and exceptionally quick response times, and lightweight AJAX components with non-AJAX failsafe. * Implemented AJAX based book editing system. This system allows users to place rotate update, remove reorder pages in a book and purchase the end result. Also rendering books into PDF's for fulfillment from vendor.* Created an automatic photo sorting tool that takes various parameters of digital images and attempts to put them into specific categories based on various statistical analysis. * Built Upload status allowing in a pure HTML/Javascript status, stop, cancel and restart of multiple simultaneous uploads.

o Developed and implemented J2EE based subscription product, based on Struts, Spring and REST style web services.o Implemented a complex network redesign, to improve performance and security, while minimizing downtime during transition.o Managed relocation of over a hundred servers, routers and switches to new IP space and physical location, with nominal downtime.o Implemented monitoring systems MRTG, Cricket (highly customized), Sitescope and a trouble tracking system to reduce network downtime and analyze system performance.
