Event leaders browse and book Speakers that meet their specific criteria: topic, location, budget, language, session type, and audience ratings. SpeaknSpark streamlines Speaker search and selection, provides a secure payment platform, and delivers access to enhanced customized feedback that incorporates audience demographics.We've intentionally removed barriers of access; there is no cost to create a Speaker profile or search for Speakers and expertise.We are changing the way Event Leaders and Speakers connect by giving Event Leaders more access, more options, and more information to make the best Speaker selection decision. We facilitate experts sharing their message with broader audience.I am the founder of SpeaknSpark. Working in Public Health Emergency Preparedness, I had difficulties sourcing Emergency Management Speakers, Trainers, or Experts across disciplines. Most of the difficulties were centered around finding and selecting the right Speaker/Expert. This was especially true when trying to collaborate and expand outside the usual networks. Motivated by frustration and a passion for Emergency Management, I built SpeaknSpark for Event Leaders and Speakers, Trainers, and Experts to connect across the diversity of Emergency Management disciplines.

AFS provides intercultural learning opportunities to help people develop the knowledge, skills and understanding needed to create a more just and peaceful world. AFS is a leader in intercultural learning and offers international exchange programs in more than 40 countries around the world through independent, nonprofit AFS Organizations.As the Community Outreach Specialist I supported the local programing and sending goal through strategic outbound program recruitment. I focused on lead generation activities in a targeted geographic area through volunteer engagement. A sample of direct outreach activities include, AFS presentations in high schools, presentations to local community / youth groups and local events including Info Nights, school/ college fairs, education professional conferences, student orientations, and school administration. I developed and coordinated a team alumni engagement program to foster retention and engagement. I collaborated closely with volunteers to develop a sustainable model as the most efficient way to ensure the success of the outbound student program. The demands of the role are fluid and I meet them with flexibility.

The Senior Companion Program and RSVP program are part of the Corporation for National and Community Service under Senior Corps. Both programs are focused in engaging elders in the community to give back through volunteer service. At Clackamas Country, RSVP and SCP partner with local organizations to develop volunteer roles and positions to engage seniors in the community. As the Senior Companion Program (SCP) and RSVP Program Director, I was responsible for managing two volunteer based federally funded grant programs. Both programs are designed to promote volunteerism among seniors in impact based performance areas. Program impacts are targeted to reach under-served populations such as minorities and veterans through leveraging community partners. I managed all aspects of the program including screening, training, developing and maintaining partnerships, goal setting, policy making, budget, reviews, and expansion.

Program outreach is targeted to reach undeserved populations such as minorities and veterans through leveraging partners. I coordinated volunteer training, developed record maintenance systems, integrated data management systems, and organized the annual fundraiser.

The Medical Reserve Corps is a volunteer group of medical professions who train to respond to emergencies and meet public health needs.As the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) Coordinator, I was responsible for program operations, program evaluation, and program development. The key to the MRC program’s operation and development success was establishing strong volunteer connections, maintaining accurate records, and fostering community partner relationships. My accomplishments include the MRC communications plan, surpassing recruitment goals, creating SOPs, and the first Annual MRC Regional Conference.

Friendship with Cambodia is a nonprofit that promotes cultural understanding, appreciation and cooperation through educational programs about Cambodia and raises funds for humanitarian projects in CambodiaAs the Public Relations Manager Intern I was involved in planning and executing the organization’s annual fundraiser and marketing for all other events. Aligned with the organizational outreach goals, I elected to created a Cambodian Genocide Awareness event aimed at educating the community. I devised, implemented, and supervised the Awareness Event. The Genocide Awareness event was sponsored by the Mills International Center and college student groups. The annual fundraiser was attended by over 300 individuals and generated over $12,000 in one evening.
