This position has an assortment of responsibilities and required competencies, including specialty software use, PFD and P&ID development and auditing, project management, and strong interpersonal communication skills. The software used includes programs such as IDEAS, SysCAD, Arena, METSIM, BlueBeam, SmartPlant products, and Microsoft products. Attention to detail, innovative and creative nature, and strong affinity for programming are crucial to my success in these programs.The project management requirements careful documentation, communication, and time management. Working as part of a team to develop both large and small projects, I had the opportunity to be exposed to a variety of project management philosophies. Additionally, I have the opportunity to take part in the Occupational Health and Safety Committee, Indigenous Engagement Committee, Young Professional Group, Professional Development Group, Campus Ambassadors, and sports teams.

My role consists of connecting industry professionals and students between sites, organizations, commodities, and provinces to foster a stronger Saskatchewan and Manitoba industry sector. We focus on fostering innovation through sharing technical presentations at our annual conference in October.

My role included both project management and routine work, and required strong interpersonal skills. I worked on major projects such as proposing and designing a product recovery circuit in the waste streams, as well as chemical treatment of waste water to reduce scaling of equipment. Routine work included tasks such as sampling and testing in the lab, but also included inspection reports on cleaned or refurbished equipment.

My responsibilities included routine work as well as research and development. One of the main projects I worked on was the development of a MS Access database linking to SQL servers and PI process book. This required knowledge of all three programs as well as VBA and SQL coding abilities. The other main project was working as part of a team to operate a Solvent Extraction pilot plant as well as other research incentives.

Worked as a Residence Assistant (RA) for one academic year, then as a Senior RA (SRA) for another year. This role involved mentoring the RA team, facilitating networking and bonding events, and supporting at-risk students. Communication and professionalism were paramount to this role, as the building I was the SRA for contained over 400 people. I worked to become a leader both for the RA team and the residents, and had the opportunity to further develop my interpersonal skills.

My responsibilities included assisting in daily operations, assisting with larger projects, and managing my own projects.Technical skills and knowledge were required for all fields, as well as strong communication skills. Time management and attention to detail were also crucial skills required for this role.

My responsibilities include equipment repair, machinery operation, and other manual labour tasks. Work ethic and communication are essential skills for this work, as it is demanding both mentally and physically.

My responsibilities included people management, field management, air traffic advisory, and piloting an aircraft. Concise communication and technical knowledge are traits that led to my success, as well as interpersonal skills.
