I'm a full-stack software engineer with more than a decade of experience in both IC and management roles. I am passionate in my pursuit of creating value in the code, products, and organizations that I work with. I've had the privilege of working with outstanding people across multiple organizations, a few of which had successful acquisitions.I am most technically proficient in Ruby / Rails, JavaScript / TypeScript, React, Go, and Live + VOD video delivery pipelines. However, I believe that leadership, people, and product-market fit are far more integral to the success of an organization than any given tech stack.I am vehemently committed to self-improvement, and greatly prefer intrinsic to extrinsic rewards. In recognition of this, I am happy to both lead and follow; to step in as a hands-on team lead, or to step back and do everything possible to support the team. Knowing exactly when to switch between these two roles can be challenging, but I'm able to lean on my experience to guide my judgment.I am most interested in contract opportunities at the moment, but would welcome a full-time role if the fit is right.
