For 20+ years, I’ve helped clients around the world – business professionals, public figures, actors/entertainers – speak clear and confident English. I’m a speech coach, and I specialize in accent reduction (pronunciation), dialect coaching, and presentation skills training. My work is a true labor of love. I’m inspired when my clients capture the spotlight, speak at engagements, or take on greater leadership roles. I celebrate with my actor clients when they land or shine in a role with an authentic dialect of English or Spanish! My services include: Accent Reduction (accent modification/English pronunciation). I empower non-native and native English speakers to increase their clarity and confidence at work or in the public eye. I customize sessions to fit my clients’ needs/goals. HR, L&D, and DEI leaders entrust me because of my sensitive approach, respecting my clients’ unique identities and cultures. My clients quickly and efficiently develop a neutral-sounding pronunciation that allows them to communicate successfully in public, professional, and social settings. When it comes to pronunciation, my motto is “Accents Speak Louder Than Words”! Dialect Coaching - I empower actors to learn authentic-sounding standard or regional English and Spanish dialects to rock an audition and elevate their performance. Without coaching, actors might find unreliable sources as a reference. My approach takes the guess-work and toil out of learning a dialect. I use authentic materials and develop custom resources. I mark up scripts to help clients master the sounds of any dialect.Presentation Skills / Interview Training – Executives, leaders, and public figures can feel uncomfortable or anxious in front of an audience during presentations, networking, or job/college interviews. I help my clients meet their fears head on and redirect their energy to captivate audiences and make an impact. We review best practices for Zoom, the podium, or the stage. My clients learn to pace themselves and speak intentionally. My clients deliver superstar keynote speeches, panel discussions, and high-stakes presentations to prospective clients/investors/shareholders. Many clinch job offers, become leaders, or strengthen their public persona as industry thought leaders. Additional Services – Tests of English - I help students and foreign nationals prepare for various English assessments, such as the TOEFL and TOEIC with an emphasis on the speaking/oral section of the tests.Spanish Pronunciation - I assist non-native Spanish speakers to deliver speeches en español.

Founder, Speech Coach - Accent Reduction, Dialect Coaching, & Presentation SkillsSpeech Fox Sep 1999 - PresentNew York, Ny, UsI have the unique background of linguist and corporate leader! It’s my mission to bring together the science of language and know-how from the business world in sales, marketing, and customer service. As child, my best friend and her family moved to NYC from China. I saw first-hand how arduously her parents worked to communicate in English. I loved helping them (from my 6-year-old perspective) to pronounce English—and as a reward—I’d receive post-its with Cantonese phrases. A prize which I’ve cherished for years! And during my "study abroad" in Salamanca, Spain, I lived, studied, and tutored (through “intercambios”) in Spanish, and I developed a deep empathy for language learners. I also immersed myself in Spanish language and the study of its phonetics and phonology. As a speech coach, I train public figures, executives, and corporate groups in accent reduction. My clients include both non-native English speakers and native English speakers of regional dialects. For accent reduction, I conduct a comprehensive assessment and create a corresponding evaluation and lesson plan to map the course of study for our upcoming sessions. I utilize the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA), mouth diagrams, and customized resources in my classes. In addition to pronunciation, I also incorporate syllable stress, intonation, word choice/diction, idiomatic expressions, grammar, and other linguistic features as needed. I also train actors to speak in authentic dialects of English and Spanish for film, TV, stage, and other performances. I provide dialect coaching for both native and non-native English speakers—I source authentic resources and mark up scripts with IPA or other notations to best help my clients learn and apply techniques quickly. Finally, I train native and non-native English speakers to deliver compelling speeches and presentations and to speak confidently at interviews. I pride myself on driving results while having fun! -
Advisor / AffiliateBoldvoice Aug 2021 - PresentNew York, Ny, UsBoldVoice, a Y-Combinator company founded out of Harvard Business School, sought out the top US dialect coaches, spanning Hollywood to Wall Street and selected me as one of 5 coaches to join their content team. I collaborated with like-minded coaches and entrepreneurial owners to create accent reduction teaching and assessment materials to mimic that of a coach but be effective on-demand via an app. At this moment, I’m proud to share that the app has a 4.8 rating in the app store and over 1MM users. I embarked on a trailblazing project to expose the B2B market to this tool, creating content, hosting webinars (including with expert panelists), and create social media and other marketing materials to drive interest from prospective clients in the call center and international education space as well as brands with a US-client focus that offshore/nearshore or otherwise outsource talent. In the first phase of my BoldVoice relationship, I designed and created content as an accent reduction SME including various assessments, practices exercises, and I edited content Now, as an affiliate at BoldVoice, I can offer this resource to my clients to round-out my services. -
Language Learning Strategist, K12Mango Languages Jan 2021 - Jan 2023Detroit, Michigan, UsAs a language teacher and avid language learner, I joined forces with the creators of the preeminent language-learning software for English and World Languages in the public library space.I led teams for Mango Languages in various capacities, including growing their K-12 market share as a “Team Captain” and Language Learning Strategist. I oversaw high-level strategy of national K12 sales, account management, and marketing teams.
