We break down language barriers by enabling healthcare providers to deliver critical medical instructions to patients in their native language—whether elderly, chronically ill, or non-native speakers—helping to reduce hospital readmissions and prevent medical risks due to poor health literacy.My journey began in 2006 with the development of the world's first multilingual digital menu, "Menus That Talk™," a revolutionary step toward inclusivity. This innovation allowed customers—and later patients—to hear and interact with menus in their own language, setting the stage for further groundbreaking advancements in accessibility.Earlier in my career, I was the owner of International Business Equipment, where I led major distribution efforts across the West Indies and played a key role in designing supply chains and distribution channels for hardware and specialty goods in the Midwest and China.A personal tragedy involving the miscommunication of medical instructions inspired me to create SpeechMED, a multi-lingual patient engagement platform that bridges the language and literacy gap in healthcare. As the CEO of Taylannas Inc., which encompasses SpeechMED and SpeechMED+GI, I have applied my passion for building proprietary, voice-powered platforms that serve diverse populations and empower individuals to take control of their health.I am passionate about using technology to change lives and improve healthcare outcomes for vulnerable populations, particularly non-English speakers and the elderly. My experience spans product design, export manufacturing, and media, always with a focus on inclusivity and user-friendly innovations.
