I was in charge of designing and manufacturing a modular pedal assembly to control the electronic throttle and hydraulic braking systems on the UCM19 vehicle. This involved the use of Solidworks to design and produce drawings of the finished parts for outsourcing.This project also included physical manufacturing tasks such as manual milling and turning of both aluminium and brass components, as well as TIG welding.During this process i was able to design a protection shroud, produced mold tooling and be taught some basics of layup procedures for pre-impregnated carbon-fibre.I also attended the 2019 Formula SAE Competetion in Melbourne, Australia where the team placed 3rd Overall

After completing my first professional year of Mechanical Engineering I worked for Xtreme Race Components (XRC) as a contribution to practical work hours, and as an opportunity to further my knowledge of engineering in a practical setting. Xtreme Race Components provides good looking, strong and simple to use CNC machined motorcycle components to the highest of standards. While also offering custom engineering solutions for the likes of aviation and motorsport industries. My goal over the summer was to develop a greater knowledge of the manufacturing processes, while displaying a good work ethic and being respectful and punctual.
