I am a mechanical engineer with experience in the design and manufacturing of integrated missile systems and ground support equipment, composite and plastic structures, 3D printed parts and high performance turbine engine components. I am currently leading a product team in a fast-paced design for manufacture environment. I have been responsible for component design from initial trade studies and sketches to detailed design and analysis and presentation to customer representatives. I have championed innovative and effective component designs and manufacturing methods, and I have led manufacturing and technology development trials to substantiate component capability. In my spare time I enjoy skiing, playing guitar and reading about space exploration and astronomy.

Edison EngineerGe Aviation Jul 2014 - Oct 2017Cincinnati, Oh, UsAs an Edison Engineer I completed three rotations in design engineering roles with a variety of responsibilities. During that time I also completed GE Aviation's Advanced Course in Engineering coursework and a research project that contributed to my master's degree from Ohio State University. -
Engineering Co-Op/InternGe Aviation Mar 2013 - Jun 2013Cincinnati, Oh, UsIn this role I was Fleet Manager for Delta Airlines' CFM56 series of engines used on the Airbus A230 and Boeing 737 families of aircraft. I managed GE's product support engineering efforts for Delta Airlines’ CFM56 series engines. I served as primary point of contact between Delta Airlines' on-site engineers and the GE and Snecma repair engineers and worked to expedite time-critical maintenance cases and determine common repairs to add to the engine maintenance manual. In this role I:- Performed content audit of over 100 existing CFM Customer Notification Report templates to ensure accuracy.- Created new report templates with airline and aircraft manufacturer input for complete and robust customer support. - Analyzed of a sample of 40,000 CFM engine parameter fault messages to find commonly received messages, resulting in one customer saving approximately $20m/yr by eliminating double-reported messages.- Created flowchart guides based on fault message study for GE Aviation Operations Center contractors to reduce errors and provide faster, more effective responsiveness on common engine faults. - Conducted a study of Inlet Guide Vane Ring failures to find a method of detecting failures remotely. Alerts could avoid an in-flight shutdown of the affected engine and save up to $6m per engine in maintenance. -

Engineering InternPcc Structurals, Inc. Jun 2011 - Aug 2011Portland, Or, UsAs part of this internship I performed a number of duties as a process engineer in the shop working directly with operators and other process engineers to improve the yield and quality of lost wax castings. I created prototype tooling to assist in lost-wax mold drying for complex geometry parts. I conducted quality inspections of the facility that yielded potential savings of $20,000 or more per month in damaged molds. I worked with operators to improve mold insulation techniques and conducted weekly assessments to ensure operators were following established procedures,
