I've always felt kind of sticky. My hands are clean and my shoes stay at the front door, but still, people have always had a propensity to follow my lead. While I never thought much of it until recently, my love for leadership has since grown into everything I do.As Chapter President of my fraternity, I not only manage over one hundred people and a six figure budget, but I have also had the opportunity to innovate to new heights. During my time, I have established thousands of dollars in reoccurring funding from the university, increased the amount of new brothers by 76%, enacted an effective board of accountability within brothers, and driven hundreds of hours of service to the surrounding community as well as thousands of dollars to various philanthropic endeavors. As a tour guide at Clemson University, I have had the opportunity to showcase my campus to hundreds of prospective college students. Not only do I get to develop my excellent public speaking and interpersonal skills in this feat, but I also get to share the memories and experiences with high school seniors holding a very important decision in their hearts. My tours are driven by a tone of friendliness, approachability, and honesty that I'm confident directly translate to more future Clemson Tigers. While I am extremely lucky to have had the opportunity to immerse myself so deeply into the student experience, my work experience is a more accurate reflection of my true passion: the outdoors. As an Activities Facilitation Intern for Snow Mountain Ranch, I had the opportunity to educate the public about the wilderness that I lived in. Working as a paddle boarding instructor also allowed me to work outdoors while developing my customer service skills concurrently. I am extremely grateful for all of the professional skills I have been able to hone thus far and cannot wait for what other opportunities I can continue my development in!
