What began as a few cold call inquiries, quickly turned into writing full time. I have really begun to sharpen my teeth when it comes to writing. In the time I’ve been writing for them I’ve learned a number of things, all while improving my own skill set. I’ve also learned what goes into the journalistic process for games (even if viewed as entertainment journalism). My current EIC allows breath of freedom when it comes to critically thinking about video games, learning to maintain a sharp mind while keeping ahead of gaming audiences and reflecting on present, past and future of video games. With the freedom to pursue what I enjoy writing about I’ve also begun to learn the basic breakdown of what makes a publication tick. Looking into editing work and freelance work.
