Developed an analytics framework on the Indeed Resume team which collected data from access log files to show users insights such as how often their resume was viewed and what search queries were used to find their resume. Worked with technologies such as Spring, MongoDB, Google Closure Compiler, and Protocol Buffers. Developed an A/B test to experiment with employer preference of Microsoft Word or PDF resumes, involving test design (UI) and programmatic Microsoft Word document generation.

Interned on the new initiatives team, creating high-fidelity prototype smartphone apps using the Android SDK. Worked on the Authorize.net's official Android application. Began test-driven development and automated building for Android and iOS, exploring TDD frameworks such as Gherkin and Calabash. Interviewed candidates for full-time Android development. Updated the company's public-facing Android SDK. Wrote a client to a hardware security module. Learned and used concepts such as agile development, event handling, threading, and socket programming.

The IMPACT survey was a research project funded by the Gates Foundation. Was responsible for ingesting tens of thousands survey responses in multiple formats (CSV, MySQL), and then automatically generating aggregate reports on a per-library-branch basis from the survey responses which included maps (Mapnik, Python) and charts (jQuery).Created a UI for survey patrons to select their closest library branch based on publicly available FSCS data, using the Google Maps API and jQuery.

Volunteered with the Northwest Biodiesel Network to help with community outreach, including coordinating logistics around the Northwest Biodiesel Forum at Seattle Center. Ran a booth at the forum to answer questions from the public.
