Sudent intern in LACSD’s solid waste division, contributing to maintenance of several LFGTE (Landfill gas to energy) power plants at municipal landfills across the LA basin. Weekly task-based work with power plant technicians and project managers in making cost-effective repairs and renovations to existing equipment (internal combustion turbines, boiler plant fixtures), as well as assistance in the exploration and design of new LFGTE projects. Additional work with LACSD’s fleet management division, focusing on fueling solutions for their electric and CNG work vehicles.

Supplement to both TA’s and professors for Physics 3C lectures and Physics 7C labs/discussions, and a proctor for in class examinations. Weekly preparation of lab experiments and tuning of in-class learning objectives with the rest of the faculty, providing assistance to students by answering questions related to various physics concepts, and by facilitating small-group cooperation on lab assignments.
