About Spencer Wright B.Sc

I am the byproduct of why youth engagement is so important. Growing up I was always the quiet kid who lacked confidence in large groups and never tried to stick out. That was up until I joined the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Program when I was 12 years old. This program helped get me out of my comfort zone, gain self-confidence, learn new things and become a better team member and leader over the next 6 years. Through the Cadet Program I was able to aim high and achieve higher. By the end of my cadet career I had earned many achievements such as the highest rank of Chief Petty Officer First Class, held the Coxswain position within my unit and Chief of Music at HMCS Acadia Cadet Summer Training Centre. Along with these I received many awards, accommodations and medals for music, leadership, teaching, physical fitness, and volunteering. Ever since completing the Cadet Program I have been dedicated to giving back and offering youth engagement programing both in my professional life and military service. Being able to offer experiences and knowledge that is accessible to all youth is my highest priority.By investing in youth, we invest for a better future.
