I'm a technologist at heart. I have a degree in information systems, and my work experience has been at software and technology companies. I make it a point to learn new technologies and stay current with trends.I have professional experience in business operations and project management. In my various roles, I've worked cross-functionally to map existing business processes, build consensus around solutions, and lead projects to completion. I particularly enjoy coordinating technology enhancements to facilitate new processes, and I get the most professional satisfaction from identifying and capturing key metrics to measure and report on a project's success.Leadership and public service have always been important to me. I pursued a master's degree in public administration to increase my capacity to lead at work and in my community. As a graduate student, I had the opportunity to serve as student association president and lead multiple consulting projects. These experiences honed my leadership theory and allowed me to develop my management skills.On a more personal note, I always like to have one or two slow-burn, passion projects on the side. These projects are intended to be fun and allow me the opportunity to meet people, learn new skills, and fuel my creativity. Right now, I'm exploring the world of 3D printing and building an Arduino-based animatronic.
