I am a PhD research scientist with 10 years of experience studying various aspects of immunology. I have led and supported projects developing immunotherapies such as vaccines, cellular therapies, and biologics for cancer and infectious diseases.I have extensive experience with murine and human T cell culture and engineering, in vivo models of adoptive cellular therapy and vaccination, multi-parameter flow cytometry, and more. I also have a strong track record of publications in peer-reviewed research journals and presentations at scientific meetings.I am passionate about mentoring junior scientists and enjoy collaborating with diverse teams to tackle challenging problems.     After completing my PhD, I continued as a postdoctoral scientist in Dr. Stephen Schoenberger’s lab to finish and publish my thesis project while also supporting ongoing projects in the lab. During this time I accomplished the following:- Completion of my PhD thesis work investigating the role of neoantigen-specific CD4+ T cells in mouse tumor models and human cancers, resulting in first author publications in Nature Immunology and JCI Insight.- Designed and executed ex vivo immune monitoring assays to characterize T cell responses in human cancer patients receiving an experimental personalized neoantigen vaccine.- Contributed to an in depth characterization of the systemic and local immune response to tumors following combination treatment with a therapeutic neoantigen vaccine and checkpoint blockade in mice.

    During my PhD research in Dr. Stephen Schoenberger’s laboratory, I studied T cell responses to tumor-specific neoantigens in mouse models and human cancer patients. These studies included characterizing novel vaccine formulations and delivery systems as well as discovering new small molecules capable of stimulating the innate immune system.- Executed high throughput screening assays of >200,000 small molecules to identify novel small molecule vaccine adjuvants.- Supported several postdoctoral scientists in their studies of vaccine adjuvants using in vitro and in vivo models, leading to 6 co-authorships in peer-reviewed immunology journals.
