This is fully integrated into the ITIL change and release management processes. Technical reduced 250 individual images down to a single image.

Project Technical Delivery LeadNhs Jan 2006 - Jun 2008Accountable for the technical delivery of all National Programme for IT (NPfIT) projects across all healthcare organisations in Sussex. This was achieved by managing a mixture permanent team leads and contractors amounting to a team of 40.Designed and lead on delivery of standardised/warrantied deployments of PC and software. During an 18 month period upgraded 12,000 PC’s and installed multiple new software on majority of PC’s in Sussex.Temporary project teams where put in place to deliver the new solutions with a responsibility for the handing over of these to the operational teams.Attended and contributed to projects/programmes working directly with the local NHS organisations and 3rd party suppliers for example GE, HSS and Fujitsu.Required constant documented monitoring of progress due to contractual requirements with 3rd party suppliers.Very proud of the work that I did during this time as migrated all NHS sites in Sussex to digital X-ray system (PACS). With a hospital trust (500 beds) being migrated over to NPfIT based patient administration system (PAS).

Daily responsibilities for Service desk, Desktop and Infrastructure staff.User environment was thin-client solution hosted on Citrix with user accessing all applications via a published desktop.Recognised as technical expert for the team and very hands on in the operational delivery of support and the service.Provided operational reports demonstrating the team is performing against Service level agreement for the customer.Identified through baseline reporting on concurrent usage that the Citrix environment was under resources, using this evidence based approach got agreement from the customer to procure more infrastructure.

Senior It Support OfficerNhs Jul 2001 - Jul 2005Worked in an IT department as part of the support team providing IT services to 1,000 users across 8 Head offices in East Sussex.Support staff carried out an equal amount of 1st, 2nd and 3rd Line support. So on a day-to-day basis had responsibility for taking the calls direct from users and then owning that call to closure.Above way of working meant for accelerated rate of learning and fantastic opportunity to experience all areas of IT.A major project that I led on was the implementation of a green-field site for a brand new NHS organisation - Surrey and Sussex Strategic Health Authority. This organisation consisted of 300 staff based on a single site however 50% of the staff where mobile workers, working across Surry, Sussex and Kent.Designed and developed standardised PC deployment we managed to fully delivery 150 pc’s to the new site in 2 days.
