• Led the design and manufacture of an un-equal length, non-parallel double a-arm, pushrod actuated coil-over suspension system.• Utilized SolidWorks to create parametric CAD models, assemblies and drawings of all suspension components.• Completed spring, damper and anti-roll bar calculations to determine spring rates, damping coefficients, and the roll resistance required to control the vehicle.• Designed a bellcrank assembly negating the need for both welding and CNC milling while allowing economical and accurate change to the ride characteristics of the vehicle.• Designed A-arms of decreased weight and increased stiffness to weight ratio by tube size optimization through numerical analysis and the use of spherical bearings at the outboard joints.• Created machining, assembly and welding drawings for the manufacture of components.• Manufactured and assembled various parts such as wheel hubs, bellcranks, spindles, A-arms, bearing housings, drive hubs and chassis tubes using the lathe, mill, TIG welder and hand tools.
